There's still time to claim 2011 home improvement tax credits
Homeowners have until April 15, 2012, to claim tax credits for certain energy-efficient home improvements installed before Dec. 31, 2011. Qualifying biomass stoves, HVAC
systems, insulation, roofing, water heaters, windows or doors provide a tax credit of 10 percent of the product cost up to $500 or a specific dollar amount from $50 to $500. More information on qualifying products can be found at the ENERGY STAR website.
